Kara's Meadow

I'm putting in the brighter colors at this point, the shadows already having been established. Notice how the addition of the yellowgreens especially bring this outdoor setting to life. Small dauby strokes using the bristles vertically to put the lighter warmer colors over the cooler darks, being careful to not to cover up the colors layed before. The goat's portrait was done in one session and I want to preserve that freshness of approach. Realistic, but painterly. I painted the wildflowers before the grasses to get that crispness and cleanliness of color.
