I started a portrait this week of a friend of mine from a snapshot I took of him at an old place on Moloka'i called the Stone House. There wasn't any direct sunlight on him. Only reflected and available light, so the shadows are very dark. I've decided to change the background completely by painting the ocean there instead of a rock wall. Aloha for now, Timo
